DNSSEC

DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) is used to secure DNS records and prevent them from man-in-the-middle attacks and spoofing. DNSSEC has been around for 10 years, but it has generally not been widely adopted for various reasons, but it is starting to become more common.

DNSSEC can be quite complicated to set up, but if you have registered a .UK domain through us and have the DNS hosting with us, we can enable DNSSEC for only £5 (one-off fee). This includes the DNSSEC key generation and registering the DNSSEC DS records with Nominet. Any DNS changes you make through our portal will automatically be re-signed for you, so you do not need to do any extra work.

If you have registered a .UK domain through us but host the DNS elsewhere, then we can still add the DNSSEC DS records to Nominet for £5, but we cannot help with the key generation and DNS record signing, as that will have to be done through your DNS hosting company.

If you have registered any other form of domain through us (.COM, .ORG etc) then we currently do not offer any DNSSEC services, but contact us if you need DNSSEC and we will see what we can do for you.
